If you are planning to stay for some more days and you wish to travel a bit, we recommend you visit Granada and Córdoba.

From Jerez to the Beach!

Jerez doesn't have a beach, but you can get to Valdelagrana's beach, in El Puerto de Santa Maria. It is a really beautiful beach, and not so far.

By train: The train station is "Valdelagrana".
There is a train every 30 minutes in working days, and one every hour during weekends. It takes 13 minutes to reach Valdelagrana. From the station, you have to walk 15 minutes to the beach.

Ir a la playa desde Jerez

Aunque Jerez no tiene playa, la playa de Valdelagrana está cerca (15 km aprox) y es fácil y rápido llegar :-)

Tren: la parada de tren es "Valdelagrana". Hay un tren cada media hora entre semana, y cada hora en fin de semana. La duración del trayecto es de 13 minutos. Después hay que caminar unos 15 minutos hasta la playa.

Breakfast in Jerez!

Now that you are in Andalusia, one of the best ideas for breakfast is to have a coffe and a toast with olive oil. You can also put some salt on it. The olive oil is great in this region, and you check it in any café.

Another great idea, is buying "churros" in the kiosks placed in the square near the market. According to wikipedia, Churros are "fried-dough pastry-based snacks, sometimes made from potato dough, that originated in Spain". (See the article in wikipedia). Then you can have a coffe in any café in that square an enjoy your churros there :-) Actually, you can ask for churros in most of the cafés, but in this square they will be the best, the cheapest, and they will be freshly fried!

If you always thought that churros were difficult to digest (we also tend to think that in Spain), here you will change your mind. It just depends on the kind and the quality of the oil you use, and your ability frying... and for that my friend, you've come to the place!

Desayunar en Jerez!

Ya que estás en Andalucía, lo mejor que puedes hacer para desayunar es pedir un café y una tostada con aceite. El aceite de oliva en esta región es muy bueno, y en cualquier bar puedes comprobarlo.

Otra buena idea, es ir a la plaza del mercado y comprar churros en las casetas que hay en medio de la plaza. Después te puedes pedir un café en un bar de esta plaza y sentarte a comerte los churros :-)

Si siempre has pensado que los churros son algo indigesto, aquí cambiarás de opinión. Todo depende de la calidad del aceite y de saber freir bien... y para eso, !has venido al mejor lugar!

Although the wedding will take place in El Puerto de Santa María, we recommend you to stay in Jerez. Don't worry! the W-day, a bus will take you to and from Jerez!

- Avión a Jerez (1h): Ryanair (1 vuelo dirario), Iberia (5 vuelos diarios).
- Tren al Puerto de Santa María (4h): 3 trenes directos (10:05, 12:25, 16:10). Billetes desde 27,10 Euros/viaje (si se compran por internet con mucha antelación).
- Autobús al Puerto de Santa María (7h30): 4 autobuses diarios (39,5 Euros/ ida y vuelta).


-En coche: El Puerto está situado a 650 km de Madrid. Hay dos caminos distintos para llegar, ambos combinan autovía con un tramo final de autopista (desde Sevilla al Puerto), y tienen una duración similar en el tiempo (6~7 horas), si bien uno de ellos está menos concurrido: el que atraviesa la región de Extremadura.

Barcelona está a 1.150 Km. del Puerto de Santa María. Las mejores opciones :
- Avión a Jerez (1 vuelo diario) con Vueling
- Avión a Sevilla (Vueling, Spanair o AirEuropa )
- Tren a Sevilla (3 trenes diarios) + regional desde Sevilla hasta El Puerto.
- Tren-Hotel al Puerto (1 por noche): Compartimento para 2 desde 53,10 EUR por persona y viaje. (si se compran por internet con mucha antelación).
